On the power of silence

A word once spoken is no longer yours; a word unspoken is yours forever. Silence is not empty. It is what has not yet been spent.

Next time the urge to answer back comes, count to three and see whether the words are still needed after three. If they are, say them. Most vanish somewhere between one and three.
