Question:“On shame”
On shame
Shame is not the eyes of others. It is an eye inside you switching on. That eye is proof that you are someone who knows where the line is.
Say one sentence to the person it concerns. Do not explain at length. When the sentence ends, the eye switches itself off.
Hesiod said that at the end of the iron age Aidos, the goddess of shame, would be the last to leave the earth. Shame is the god that stays longest.
