On reconciling

Reconciliation is not the place to settle who was right. It is the place to admit that both of you are tired. Bring your rightness and there is no reconciliation, only a trial.

Leave right and wrong out and send a single sentence: “I miss you,” or “Let us have a meal.” Even if the answer is slow, that sentence has already opened the door halfway. The other half is theirs.
