On never being satisfied

The person who is never satisfied is not thirsty. They are the one who drinks while eyeing the next cup. The throat is wet; the heart stays dry.

Do not wish for a new thing before you have used up one you were given. Taste one meal to its end, hear one song to its end, talk with one person to the end. Satisfaction comes not from quantity but from going all the way.
