Question:“On inheritance and wills”

On inheritance and wills

What is left behind is not money but last words. Money divides; words do not. Fight over what divides and you lose what does not.

Before any talk of money, share aloud one thing that person said, with everyone present. If there is much to divide and the stories differ, put it on paper and show it to someone who knows the law.

Hesiod wrote a poem to his brother Perses after they quarreled over their inheritance. The poem survived; the quarrel was forgotten.
