On being ignored

Being ignored means the other person saw you small, not that you became small. Another’s eye is not a scale. It is that person’s window, and a small window makes everything look small.

Do not strain to prove yourself to the one who ignored you. Instead, spend one more hour this week with someone who sees you large. Your size is decided by choosing whose eyes you stand before.
