Question:“On emptiness”
On emptiness
Emptiness is not the bottom. It is the mudflat after the tide goes out. The water returns. The flat is only visible while it is gone.
While the water is out, do one very small thing with your hands. Wash, fold, or plant. The water comes back first to where the hands have moved.
Pindar called man the dream of a shadow, and in the same song said that when god-given light falls, life is sweet.
