On the power going out

When the lights go out, you see how many things the house was leaning on. The dark is not a punishment. It is a list.

First call the building office or the utility line and ask when it returns. Keep the fridge shut and turn the phone’s brightness down. A flashlight over a candle. When it comes back, put two bottles of water and one flashlight where you can see them.
