On being called immature

Being called immature usually means you are late by someone else’s table of ages. But maturity does not attach to age. It attaches to responsibility. Pick up one responsibility and maturity arrives that day.

This week, take on one responsibility no one asked of you: a plant, an appointed hour, someone else’s load. And leave the childish things alone. You need not throw away the laughter too.
