An academy does not sell knowledge. It sells a timetable. If you can keep a timetable alone, save the money. If you cannot, the money is cheap.

Look back over the last two weeks. If you sat down at the set hour on fewer than half the days, enroll. If more than half, buy books with the money instead.

Socrates took no fee for teaching. The sophists did.
